Advium advises Forcit on divestment of its Finndisp polymer dispersions business

Finland’s leading explosives manufacturer Forcit has sold its dispersion business, Finndisp, to American specialty material company, Rohm and Haas.
The sale price is 60.5 million euros. Finndisp’s turnover is 35 million euros, and 80% of its produce is sold as exports.

Finndisp produces polymer dispersions that are used as binding agents in lacquers, paints and glues.
Rohm and Haas produces specialty materials that are used in paints and coatings, adhesives, electronics, construction and other industries.
In 2006, the company’s turnover amounted to around 5.6 billion euros.
