Advium advises Kesko in the largest ever SLB transaction in Finland

Advium advised Kesko in the divestment of 34 store sites and two shopping centres in Finland and Sweden to Ankkurinkadun Kiinteistöt Oy, a joint venture between Kesko, AMF Pensionsförsäkring and Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company. In connection with the transaction, the joint venture will also acquire one shopping centre from Kruunuvuoren Satama Oy, and two store sites from Kesko Pension Fund. Kesko Group companies will lease the store sites under long-term leases.
The total debt-free transaction value is € 652 million. The transaction is the largest ever sale and leaseback transaction in Finland, and the largest real estate transaction carried out in Finland in 2015.
